New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg calls real estate magnate Donald Trump a friend and says "anyone can run for president if you're 35 and an American citizen."
Bloomberg told "Fox News Sunday" that Trump is "a New York icon." Bar the mayor shied away from chatting up Trump's flirtation with the presidency.
Bloomberg real estate , a self-governing, also said President Obama "was born here." He said he believes Republicans "are making a terrible mistake" in quizzical whether the president was born in the United States. Trump has been one of the most vocal Republicans calling on Obama to let go his birth official document. Bloomberg says it's time for the Republican Party to address issues that "the public cares concerning."
